Sa-kali-kali tiyada berhčrti dalam běhasa melayu: it has absolutely no meaning in Malay; Ht. Abd., 373. Menghĕrti: to understand, to grasp the meaning of. The forms ērti and rětí are common. Sapērti (like) is probably a derivative of ĕrti; i.e., "one in meaning with.”
