This template formats a citation on [[Wikisource:References to Wikisource]].

The documentation wording assumes that a published book is citing Wikisource as that is expected to be the most common situation.  However, the template will function equally well with other potential citing publications (for example, newspaper or magazine articles, academic papers, websites, etc.)
